Malawi is off the beaten track so there is every opportunity to have the most incredible connections with the people you meet. Smiles welcome you at every turn and its is know as the warm heart of Africa as that is exactly how you will feel as you drive down bumpy tracks, dance in the villages and swim in the Lake- your heart will swell and you will get that incredible tingle that only travel to far flung places can bring. We highly recommend you pack as much into each day as you can. Spread the benefit of tourism as widely as possible and take in some of Orbis’s incredible projects as well as the stunning scenery, national parks and the islands of Lake Malawi. In Malawi you can self drive quite easily but we prefer to send you off with one of our guides who will become your friend, your translator and your wisdom of local knowledge, culture and dance!

Orbis Challenge Series
The Orbis Challenge began in 2018 when Dame Kelly Holmes and 20 amateur athletes came to Malawi to run, cycle and kayak- pushing themselves to their physical limits and raising funds for nutrition in Malawi. We now have 10 incredible events in the series and are working with headliners for each sporting event. Come cycle with Mark Beaumont, Coach with Dame Katherine Grainger or play cricket with Ian Bell. A series of 7 day sporting adventures in Malawi. Incredible scenery, off the beaten track routes, community participation. Push yourself to your limits for an incredible purpose.
The Womens Partnership
For women who itch to really have purpose in their adventures and see partnership as a hugely inspiring and exciting journey to be part of. This partnership challenge combines shared purpose, collaborative business workshops, adventure and the very best slice of culture and travel.
